Texas Precious Metals Review – BBB, BCA, Trustlink, Yelp & RipOffReport

texas precious metals4 stars
With so many options as to where to buy precious metals it can be confusing to know which one to choose.  Despite the celebrities touting this company or that one as the best, smart investors will ignore the hype and thoroughly investigate the potential dealers.  It’s important to choose a dealer with a good reputation as well as fair buy-back prices and competitive rates for bullion and coins.

What is Texas Precious Metals?

Texas Precious Metals is a branch of Kaspar Companies, a family owned concern that was established in 1898 as a producer of wire goods.  It was eventually expanded into stamping, electroplating, and machining.  Texas Precious Metals was originally a precious metals wholesaler but expanded in 2011 to serve the public as a dealer in gold, silver, palladium, and platinum.  It is recognized by the U. S. Mint as a market maker for the Mint’s products and is also a distributor for Australia’s Perth Mint.  Texas Precious Metals provides Australian Gold Kangaroos, the Canadian Silver Maple Leaf, American Gold Eagle coins and others that are compatible with IRA as well as collectible precious metal coins.

What We Liked About Texas Precious Metals

Texas Precious Metals has a company motto–“if we don’t have it we don’t sell it”.  That’s a refreshing concept when you think of the long wait times and delivery delays that occur when other precious metals dealers acquire inventory only if they receive an order. TPM ships within 3 business days of receiving payment and never sells an item it doesn’t already have in stock.

The Texas Precious Metals website lists the CEO, Jason Kaspar, by name and gives a detailed history of the roots of the family Texas precious metals reviewbusiness.  TPM is completely open and up front about their roots and their identities.  The company has its own storage facility that segregates each client’s holdings from the rest of the deposits; it is one of only 6 facilities around the globe that is certified by COMEX.

While the Texas Precious Metals website doesn’t have a lot of bells and whistles, it does include a feature that allows you to track your order, offers a wide variety of information, and has informative FAQs.

What We Didn’t Like About Texas Precious Metals

There is very little criticism about this company.  In fact, the lack of reviews is somewhat troubling because most consumers like to be very vocal about their opinions, pro or con.  The adverse opinions that have been published concern dissatisfaction with the prices consumers got for their gold and silver when they sold to Texas Precious Metals.

Texas Precious Metals Review Sites

Conclusions and Recommendations

WHY 4 STARS – Texas Precious Metals earns 4 stars from us for their transparency and ease of communication as well as client satisfaction.  The problem is that with all the business this company does, you would expect some negative feedback–it’s just the nature of things.  Aside from that, Texas Precious Metals appears to be a reputable company of long standing that would be worth considering when buying precious metals.
